Every quiz here follows the same format: at least ten multiple-choice questions, one question per page, and a written explanation on every answer so you learn something even when you guess wrong.

Nothing is timed and nothing requires an account. Your answers are stored only in your own browser, and you need to reach the end of a quiz before restarting it, which keeps final levels honest.

How our quizzes are written

Each quiz starts as a topic outline. We list the facts a fan of that subject would reasonably know, then add two or three questions that require slightly deeper attention. Difficulty ramps gently, so the opening questions build confidence and the closing ones decide your level.

Wrong answers are written to be plausible rather than silly. Where a popular myth exists about a topic, we often include it as a decoy, because catching a myth is the most useful thing a trivia question can do.

Explanations are checked against reference sources before publication. If you spot an error, use the contact page and tell us which quiz and question number, and we will fix it.
