Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Trivia Quiz World collects, why, and what choices you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Playing quizzes requires no account

You do not need to register to use this site. Your quiz answers, your progress through a quiz and your bookmarked quizzes are stored in your own browser using local storage. We cannot read that storage remotely, and clearing your browser data deletes it permanently.

Information you choose to send us

• Contact form: we store the name, email address, topic and message you submit so we can reply and keep a record of corrections.
• Comments: we store the display name and comment text you submit. Comments are reviewed before publication and any links are removed automatically. Do not put private information in a comment.
• Anonymous quiz completions: when you reach a results page we may record the quiz name, your score and the total, with no identifier attached, so we can see which quizzes are too easy or too hard.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and where they leave. It sets cookies and processes an abbreviated version of technical data such as page path, referrer, approximate location, device type and browser. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we do not upload contact details to it.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure performance and, depending on your consent and region, to personalise ads. Details and opt-out routes are listed in our cookies and advertising notice.

Legal bases and retention

Where consent applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and personalised advertising, and on legitimate interest for keeping the site working, secure and free from spam. Contact messages and comments are retained for as long as they remain useful for moderation and correction history, then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal data we hold, and to object to processing. Send a request through the contact page and select the privacy request topic.

Children

Our quizzes are family friendly, but the site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal details, contact us and we will remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change on this page.
